Our first time exploring the Bund. This walkway borders the vital Huangpu river which divides central Shanghai into east and west. Lined with historical British landmarks, the view overlooks Pudong : the eastern side of Shanghai where we live. The pudong region has been transformed from pig farms into a financial district over the last 20 years. In this photo, you can see the famous pearl tower and the ongoing construction to the soon-to-be second tallest building in the world. We live 15 minutes behind that skyline and can see the taller buildings from our home. Being fascinated with world records, Jack finds it pretty cool to watch the tallest building being built. Kate is excited for the 2015 opening of the Disneyland in pudong. Luke’s still trying to decide which building Curious George lives in.
